Hollywood sign

The Hollywood sign – the landmark of Hollywood and LA – is located in the Hollywood Hills and was built in 1923 by Thomas Fisk Goff. Originally the lettering of the sign was “Hollywoodland” – an advertisement campaign for a suburban housing development.
