Christopher Columbus: Crossing the Atlantic (1492)

On August 3, 1492 Christopher Columbus departed from Palos (Spain) with three ships to find a new sea route to China and India which were important trading partners for Europe. As everyone knows Columbus didn’t reach India – he discovered a “new world”.
