    Upload your existing KML/KMZ files

    Have you already created KML- or KMZ-files with third-party-applications like Google Maps, Google Earth, etc.? From now on you can upload you data into new entries and present your maps at GLOTTER. This is a perfect feature for KML files containing Network links.

    Please keep in mind that not all features are available for uploaded files. GLOTTER gives no warranty and is not responsible for uploaded content.

    Google Earth Plugin @ GLOTTER

    Do you know the cool 3D functions of Google Earth and missed it on Google Maps? From now on you can view Google Earth within your browser with the same look and feel of the popular application.
    And the best is that all GLOTTER entries can be viewed in 3D by clicking on the button “Earth” in the map mode navigation.

    Just download and install the Google Earth Plugin (currently supports Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer on Windows platforms) and explore a new map-navigation!

    Street View @ GLOTTER

    The new Street View service http://www.glotter.com/streetview provides 360° panoramic street-level views in selected areas.
    It’s also possible to automate the viewing process (Rotate, move forward, move backward). Feel free to test the new feature with the following examples:

    🎈 Happy Birthday!

    Exactly 1 year ago on February 25, 2007 the Google Maps community GLOTTER.com launched. On this side a big “thanks” to all active users and recurring visitors.

    What is GLOTTER after year 1?

    • Easy Web-Mapping! Creating new entries is intuitive and as easy as pie.
    • Compatibly! As we use KML for overlaying the placemarks all GLOTTER World maps can be viewed in a wide range of third party websites or tools.
    • Convenience! All maps can be embedded in other websites.
    • Fun! It’s just fun exploring new maps on GLOTTER.
    • Service! The useful Services enjoy great popularity.

    Some “highlights” in the first year have been:

    • The classic “Bermuda-Triangle”.
    • Very useful is the entry “Flags of the world”.
    • Whole Europe can’t wait for the “EURO 2008” in Austria and Switzerland to begin.
    • With “funny Google Maps views” you will see the world with other eyes.
    • On 07.07.07 the “worldwide LiveEarth concerts” sent a message for climate protection.
    • A funny “Video-introduction to Google Maps”.

    We are looking forward to an exciting 2nd year and are thrilled about looking at upcoming great entries!
