Change your profile name

You can now change your profile name to whatever you like. Your profile link will remain unchanged. For technical reasons, it cannot be modified.

If a username matching your new profile name already exists, it will be automatically adjusted to avoid name conflicts.

Du kannst nun deinen Profilnamen beliebig ändern. Dein Profillink bleibt davon unberührt und kann aus technischen Gründen nicht geändert werden.

Existiert ein Username mit dem neuen Profilnamen bereits, wird dieser automatisch angepasst, um Namenskonflikte zu vermeiden.

🫆 Password protected maps

In addition to the options of “Public” and “Private”, you can now also choose to make your maps semi-private by selecting “Password protected” and enter a password. This allows you to share maps that should not appear publicly with others.

Please note that geodata, such as GeoJSON and iCAL may be downloadable if the link is opened directly.

🫆 Schütze Karten mit einem Passwort

Neben öffentlichen und privaten Einträgen kannst du ab sofort auch ein Passwort festlegen und somit “semi-private” Karten erstellen. Dadurch ist es möglich, Karten, die nicht öffentlich sein sollen, mit anderen zu teilen.

Bitte beachte, dass Geodaten wie GeoJSON und iCAL ggf. heruntergeladen werden können wenn der Direktlink bekannt ist.

🌍 GLOTTER goes 3D

From now on maps can be viewed in a cool 3D globe which makes zooming and panning more intuitive.

The new view mode is optional. You can switch between 3D and Standard by clicking on the “3D” button. Of course users can define the initial mode for each of their map individually.

A globe only makes sense on maps with multiple far-scattered markers and a small zoom factor:

🌍 GLOTTER in 3D

Ab sofort ist es möglich, Karten in einem coolen 3D-Globus darzustellen. Damit wird das Zooming und Panning intuitiver.

Die neue Ansicht ist optional verfügbar. Man kann jederzeit zwischen 3D und Standard-Modus wechseln indem man auf den “3D” Button klickt. User können die initiale Wunsch-Einstellung auch beim Editieren des Eintrags festlegen.

Natürlich macht ein Globus nur bei Karten mit weitververstreuten Markern bei kleinem Zoom-Faktor Sinn:
