The Thomas Alva Edison Memorial Tower and Museum opened on February 11, 1938. Thomas Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was an American inventor holding patents covering the creation or refinements of devices in telegraphy and telephony, electric power generation and lighting, sound recording, motion pictures, storage batteries, and mining and cement technology.
For 10 years Edison worked on this place and applied for about 400 patents.
