Mount Everest
The Mount Everest (8,848m/29,029ft) is the highest mountain in the world. On May 29, 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay from Nepal were the first men to reach the summit. Sir Hillary died on January 11, 2008 at the age of 88. Related map:
