Moulin Rouge
The Moulin Rouge (“Red windmill”) in Paris is a famous cabaret. It was established in 1889 and features musical dance performances for adult visitors. In 1950 Pierre La Mure wrote the novel Moulin Rouge which was adapted for a classic movie in 1952 starring Jose Ferrer and Zsa-Zsa Gabor. In 2001 another movie starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman was filmed about the nightclub.
