Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system. It has a lenghth of 2,600 kilometres (1,616 mi) and is home to more than 1,500 different species of fish and 400 different species of corals. Since 1981 it is a UNESCO world heritage site. The reef is also “filming location” of Pixar’s animation film “Finding Nemo”.
