The Concorde was the first supersonic passenger airliner that operated commercially. It was introduced in 1976 and retired in 2003. All in all only 20 aircrafts were built for two airlines: Air France and British Airways. House where 'Charmed' was filmed This is the house where the three sisters Prue, Piper & Phoebe Halliwell lived in the TV series 'Charmed' (1998 - 2006). The house is located in LA but the series takes place in San Francisco. House of 'The Wonder Years' This is the house which appeared in the TV series 'The Wonder Years' (1988 - 1993). Melrose Place apartment building The Melrose Place (TV series from 1992-1999 starring Heather Locklear) apartment building - for the exterior shots - is located in Hollywood. Maho Beach plane landing Maho Beach in St. Maarten on Netherlands Antilles is famous for its spectacular plane landings at Princess Juliana Airport. Hughes H4 Hercules "Spruce Goose" The "Spruce Goose" is a very heavy flying boat designed and built by the "Aviator" Howard Hughes. It's the largest aircraft ever built but unfortunately just a prototype. The construction of the plane was featured in the film "The Aviator" (2004) At the moment the plane's home is the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. U2 - Where the streets have no name The video for "Where the streets have no name" was filmed on the rooftop of a liquor store in Downtown/Los Angeles in 1987. Unfortunately the local police shut down the video shoot because large crowds gathered on surrounding streets and blocked the traffic. The Music video won the Grammy for Best Performance Music Video in 1989. Lombard Street One of the most famous streets in San Francisco is the curvy Lombard Street. It's a one-way street from west to east. Stonehenge and replicas Throughout the USA are these (funny) replicas of the famous Stonehenge stone formation. "Street View" introduction Google has created a introduction for the Street View feature in Google Maps.
