TAPS: Trans Alaska Pipeline

The Trans Alaska Pipeline is a 800 miles (1,300 km) long pipeline connecting a major oil field in Prudhoe Bay with a sea port in Valdez. It was constructed from 1974 to 1977 at costs of $8 billion.
