Microsoft Inc. was founded here and remained in Albuquerque from 1975 to 1979 before moving to Seattle. Since 2006 the facility is in so-called "warm stand-by" because the dangers of the Cold War are over now. The complex is also home to the fictional U.S. Stargate Command of the Science Fiction TV series Stargate. Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Park The Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Park is located in Queens, New York. It is a global sculpture made of steel (with a diameter of 120 feet = 36.57 meters it is the world's largest!) which was built for the World fair in 1964. Flushing Meadows park is featured in Men in Black (where the alien ship crashes into the Unisphere) and in the opening of King of Queens.
