Race Track of the Rally Dakar (formerly known as "The Paris Dakar Rally"). It's an off-road endurance race open for amateurs and professionals. There are three vehicle classes: motorcycles, automobiles and trucks. Originally in the 1970s when the rally was invented the route started in Paris (France) and ended in Dakar (Senegal). Now there are different starting locations for the rally with a total distance of 9,273 km.

The 2008 Dakar Rally has been cancelled because of safety concerns in Mauritania. More info: www.dakar.com
